Grass plants and Bamboo plants have a grace and beauty that no other group of plants can match, and a diversity of size, form and habit that make them eminently suitable for a great variety of garden uses, yet their ornamental and decorative potential is rarely used to the full.

Grasses range in size from the miniatures at just a few centimetres in height to the giant bamboo at over thirty metres in height! Between these two extremes there are grasses and bamboo of every shape and size and for every garden situation.

The aesthetic appeal of grasses is quite distinct from that of most other garden plants in that instead of the bright colours from broad petalled flowers, grasses offer beauty and interest from their form, texture, sound and movement, and a much more subtle variation in colour.
