Miscanthus Gold Bar, also known as ‘Eulalia’, is a striking ornamental grass that adds colour and texture to any garden.  The leaves are long and narrow and have a distinctive colour that contrasts beautifully with other plants in the garden. In late Summer and early Autumn, the plants produce delicate plumes of flowers that rise above the foliage, adding additional interest and movement to the garden.

The Miscanthus Gold Bar is a hybrid of two different species of Miscanthus, and was first introduced to the gardening world in the 1990s. It has quickly become a popular choice for gardeners, due to its striking foliage colour and its ability to thrive in a range of conditions.

It is adaptable and can be grown in a range of soils, from sandy to clay. It prefers full sun to partial shade, and can tolerate drought and high heat. This grass is also highly resistant to pests and diseases, making it a low-maintenance choice for gardeners.

Once established, Miscanthus Gold Bar requires very little care. It should be watered regularly during its first growing season, but once established, it is drought tolerant. Prune the grass back to the ground in late Winter or early Spring, to encourage new growth and maintain a neat, compact form.

Miscanthus Gold Bar is a versatile grass that can be used in a range of different garden settings. It is particularly effective when planted in large drifts, where its striking foliage colour can be seen to best effect. This grass is also suitable for use as a specimen plant, or as a background plant in borders and prairies.
