Hoheria Stardust, commonly known as ‘Ribbonwood’ and holder of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit, is a large evergreen shrub originating from New Zealand. This plant is a hybrid of the native Hoheria species and was created to combine the beauty and resilience of both species.

With its delicate, star-shaped white flowers that appear in late Summer,  this variety is a stunning addition to any garden or landscape.  It grows as a shrub, reaching a height of up to 8 metres and is best planted in a location with well-drained soil and plenty of sunlight.

This Hoheria is a low-maintenance plant that doesn’t require much care, but it is important to keep it well-watered, especially during dry periods. It should be fertilised once a month during the growing season, and it is important to prune back dead or damaged stems in the Spring to promote healthy growth.  Regular monitoring and appropriate pest control measures will keep your Hoheria healthy and beautiful.
