Buddleja Pink Delight, also known as the ‘Butterfly Bush Pink Delight’. Originating from Asia a genus comprising of more than 140 varieties and a recipient of the much coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit, is a bushy deciduous shrub with arching branches bearing lance shaped green leaves, throughout the Summer long panicles of bright pink flowers are produced, highly attractive to the butterflies, bees and other beneficial insects visiting the flower border. Suitable for coastal planting.

Looking After Your Buddleja Pink Delight

Generally a trouble free shrub, although may be affected by aphids ( easily treated ) an easy to grow ornamental flowering garden shrub in many if not all locations, which will benefit from a sunny fertile area in all types of garden, from the informal cottage planting schemes to town or coastal areas. Buddleja will tolerate most soils as long as they are well drained, remove any spent blooms to encourage a longer flowering period. Early Spring remove any damaged branches and prune back to about half their height, at the same time apply a generous mulch of well rotted garden compost or general purpose fertiliser to encourage good strong growth throughout the coming season.
