Buddleja Davidii White Profusion, also known as the ‘Butterfly Bush White Profusion’ and holder of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit Award is a fast growing, bushy, deciduous shrub with long arching branches bearing green lance shaped leaves. Throughout the Summer months huge clusters of highly scented white flowers with yellow centres are produced in abundance which are highly attractive to the many butterflies, bees and other beneficial insects visiting the garden. Ideally suited for the flowering shrub border or against a wall or fence.

Looking After Your Buddleja Davidii ‘White Profusion’

Generally disease free, although may be affected by aphids the Buddleja White Profusion is an easy to grow ornamental garden shrub in many if not all locations. A low maintenance shrub which can benefit from a fertile, moist, but well drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded area in all types of garden from informal cottage style gardens to coastal or town/city gardens. Drought tolerant once well established. Prune during the early Spring, back to 2-3 buds or ground level, as flowers are produced on new growth. Throughout the Summer remove any spent flower heads, as this will encourage a longer flower period, often until the first frosts appear.
