Artemisia Schmidtiana nana, also known as ‘Dwarf Wormwood’, a recipient of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit is a low growing, compact, semi – evergreen herbaceous perennial forming a low cushion of finely cut, aromatic grey – silver foliage, tiny insignificant yellow nodding flower heads appear mid – late Summer attracting butterflies and many other beneficial insects into the garden. Ideal for the rockery, mediterranean planting schemes and equally happy as a patio/container plant or edging the flower border.
Looking After Your Artemisia Schmidtiana Nana
Generally pest free an easy to grow semi-evergreen perennial for most gardeners to grow succesfully in many if not all locations. A low maintenance plant which can benefit from sunny fertile area in all types of garden from cottage planting schemes to the mediterranean/rockery or coastal planting, equally happy when container grown within the patio area. To fully appreciate the silver-grey aromatic foliage many gardeners cut back the tiny flowers as they appear. Late Autumn trim the foliage and divide every two to three years to maintain good vigor.
