Anemone September Charm also known as the ‘Japanese Anemone’ a recipient of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit and excellent pollinator attracting many varieties of butterflies, bees and other beneficial insects to the garden. An herbaceous, clump forming perennial adding colour and interest to the border when many others are beginning to fade. Vine-like dark green leaves forming a cushion through which the purple tinted flower stems emerge with purple tinted outer petals contrasting with the pale pink inner petals and yellow centres.

Looking After Your Anemone September Charm

A wonderfully easy flowering perennial for any gardener to grow successfully, preferring a humus rich, moist, but well drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded area in all types of garden from the informal cottage planting schemes to the town/courtyard or coastal garden. Cut back spent flowers and stems after flowering, and apply a generous layer of well rotted garden mulch which will help protect the roots during the colder months. Early Spring give a general tidy by removing any dead leaves ready for the new season.
