Artemisia Ludoviciana Silver Queen, commonly known as Western Mugwort, is a compact, semi evergreen herbaceous perennial forming a low mound of slender, coarsely toothed, silver – grey aromatic foliage turning a greener shade with age, from August through to September erect plumes of mimosa – like golden yellow flowers appear, a welcome addition bringing colour to the flower border when other flowers begin to fade. Artemisia Silver Queen makes a stunning border and ground cover plant ideal for cottage or informal gardens, especially suiting the mediterranean/gravel planting scheme.
