Cornus Flaviramea, commonly known as ‘Golden Dogwood’ and holder of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit is a medium-sized, deciduous shrub.   Clusters of tiny white flowers are produced from May through to June which contrast beautifully with the dark green oval leaves.   In Autumn the leaves turn red and fall revealing its slender bright olive yellow stems which bring plenty of colour to the border throughout the Winter months.

Looking After Your Cornus Flaviramea

Cornus are generally pest and disease free, although they may be affected by Aphids during the Summer months, and are an easy to grow shrub in many if not all locations. A very low maintenance garden shrub that will tolerate a wide range of soil conditions.  It does prefer a sunny or partially shaded area within the garden, producing the brightest of coloured stems when grown in full sun.
