Ceanothus Repens, commonly known as “Creeping Blue Blossom’ and holder of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit, is a low-growing or mound forming evergreen shrub that is native to the coastal regions of California. This plant is known for its vibrant powdery blue flowers that bloom in the Spring and early Summer, adding a pop of colour to any garden. Its leaves are small, glossy and dark green in colour, which adds to its evergreen appeal. The plant is drought tolerant, making it a great choice for low-water gardens and it’s great to use as a ground cover.

The Ceanothus Repens is a hardy shrub that is perfect for a wide range of garden styles, whether you’re looking to create a naturalistic landscape or a more formal garden design. It is also suitable for rock gardens, slopes, and erosion control. It can be grown in full sun and it prefers well-drained soil, reaching a mature height of 1.5 metres and a width of 4 metres.
