Looking After Your Ulex Flore Plena
Generally pest and disease free, an easy to grow evergreen Spring flowering shrub in many if not all locations. A low maintenance compact plant which can benefit from a sunny area in all types of garden from cottage planting schemes to town or coastal areas. Ulex Flore Plena will tolerate most soils as well as being both drought and salt tolerant. Generally pruning is only required every two – three years, although any pruning required to remove damaged or unwanted branches to maintain shape or prevent overcrowding is best achieved after flowering, when the addition of a good multi purpose fertilizer will encourage strong fresh new growth during the main growing season.
