Looking After Your Polystichum Polyblepharum

Generally pest and disease free, an easy to grow and very low maintenance plant ideal for the pond-side or shady area of the garden, preferring a humus rich and moist soil. Late Autumn remove any dead or damaged fronds and provide a good mulch of well rotted garden compost, this will help protect the roots during the colder Winter months. Early spring is an ideal time to propagate by division or re-locate to a new site for planting in the garden, at the same time using bone-meal, or a good quality general purpose fertiliser to encourage strong, healthy, fresh new growth.
