Myrtus Communis Variegata, more commonly known as the ‘Variegated Myrtle’ is a compact, evergreen, variegated shrub.  It has glossy, dark green aromatic leaves which are margined with a creamy white and in mid to late Summer fragrant white flowers appear in abundance.  These are then followed by purple-black shiny berries which are an excellent food source for the garden wildlife.

How to look after your Myrtus Communis Variegata

Protect this Myrtus from any cold, drying winds.  In early Spring apply a mulch of well rotted garden compost around the base of the plant and the in late Spring remove any unwanted growth.
