Magnolia Heaven Scent, also known as ‘Magnolia’ and holder of the much coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit, is an upright, small, deciduous tree with dark green leathery leaves.  It bears rosey – pink  flowers which fade with age to a pale pink with a magenta stripe on the outer side.

The Magnolia Heaven Scent is native to East Asia, where it has been cultivated for centuries. The flower was introduced to the Western world in the late 1600s, where it quickly became a favourite among gardeners and horticulturists.

This stunning flower has a wide range of benefits for your landscape. It is an excellent choice for gardens and parks, as it is low maintenance and easy to grow. It also provides a beautiful fragrance that is sure to delight the senses, making it the perfect addition to any outdoor space.

How to care for your Magnolia Heaven Scent

  • Planting: Prefers well-draining soil and a sunny or partially shaded location. When planting, be sure to space the plants appropriately to give them room to grow.
  • Watering: Water regularly, making sure the soil stays moist but not waterlogged. Avoid getting water on the leaves, as this can lead to fungal problems.
  • Fertilising:Benefits from a balanced fertiliser applied once a month during the growing season. Make sure to follow the instructions on the fertiliser package, as over fertilising can damage the plant.
  • Pruning: Pruning is generally not necessary, but if you need to shape, do so after the blooms have faded. Prune back only the oldest branches to promote new growth.

With proper care, your Magnolia Heaven Scent will thrive and bring beauty and fragrance to your garden for years to come.
