Fuchsia Lady Boothby, also known as ‘Hardy Fuchsia’ and holder of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit is a deciduous and quite vigorous fuchsia. It can be used as a shrub or a climber, the dark green foliage contrasts well with the red, bushy, drooping shoots, if allowed to grow as a climber it will need the support of a fence or trellis. The single flowers have red tubes and sepals with dark purple, almost black corollas. As with most fuchsias this makes an ideal coastal plant.
