Dierama is a captivating ornamental plant known for its graceful, arching stems adorned with pendulous clusters of flowers. This cultivar is a stunning addition to any garden or landscape, offering a touch of elegance and drama.

The slender, wiry stems of this Dierama gracefully sway in the breeze, creating a mesmerising display as the blossoms dance delicately upon them. The flowers, which resemble tiny bells, dangle from the stems like a cascade of dark jewels, adding a dramatic flair to the garden come in a range of mixed colours, from white to pink to burgundy.

How to care for your Dierama Mixed Colours. 

  1. Light: Prefers partial to full sun, but can tolerate some shade. It is best to plant the Dierama in a location that receives morning sun and afternoon shade.
  2. Water: Prefers moist soil, but it is drought tolerant and can tolerate periods of dryness. Water the plant regularly and make sure the soil does not dry out completely.
  3. Fertiliser: It does not require a lot of fertiliser, but it can benefit from a slow-release fertiliser applied once a month during the growing season.
  4. Pruning: It does not require frequent pruning, but it can be pruned to shape and control its size. Prune the plant after it flowers, and avoid pruning in fall or winter.
  5. Soil: It prefers moist, well-drained soil. If your soil is heavy clay or sandy, amend it with organic matter to improve drainage.
  6. Temperature: It is hardy down to -10°C,  but will be killed by prolonged freezes.
