Daphniphyllum Macropodum makes a large evergreen shrub / small tree, with large dark green, glossy leaves which have a tendency to droop during Winter revealing its bright red stalks. Fragrant flowers appear late Spring, the male flowers are a deep purple/pink whilst the female flowers are greenish, followed by black berries in the Autumn, are are borne on separate plants.
