The Cortaderia Auerolineata is generally pest and disease free and is an easy to grow ornamental grass in many if not all locations.  A low maintenance Pampas grass which can benefit from a sunny area in all types of garden.   Plant in a fertile, moist, but well drained soil, feeding with a good quality general purpose fertiliser early Spring to encourage strong fresh new growth during the coming season.  Provide Winter protection from the harshest of cold/drying winds during the first year, whilst still getting established.
