Choisya White Dazzler, commonly known as Mexican Orange Blossom, a recipient of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit is an attractive, aromatic, compact, evergreen garden shrub, forming a nest mound of narrow, glossy green, finger like divided leaves. Its pinkish buds open to reveal clusters of snowy-white scented flowers, which cover the plant in Spring and make an excellent pollinator being particularly attractive to the butterflies and other beneficial insects for the garden, and often produces a second flush of flowers late Summer/Autumn. Ideal for patio/container growing, the scented garden or the mixed shrub border.
Looking After Your Choisya x dewitteana White Dazzler
Generally pest and disease free and an easy to grow flowering shrub in many if not all locations. A low maintenance shrub which can benefit from a sunny or partially shaded area in all types of garden from Cottage planting schemes, court-yard gardens or coastal areas. Plant in a fertile, moist, but well drained soil, feeding with a good quality multi-purpose fertilizer early Spring to encourage strong, fresh new growth for the coming season. Prune immediately after flowering to encourage a second flush of flowers during late Summer, at the same time removing any damaged or unwanted branches.
