Suitable for many areas of the garden, the mixed shrub border or patio container planting.

Looking After Your Ceratostigma Willmottiana

Generally pest and disease free, and an easy to grow deciduous garden shrub in many if not all locations, a low maintenance shrub which can benefit from a sunny or partially shaded position in a fertile, moist, but well drained soil in all types of garden, from cottage planting schemes to town or court-yard gardens. Very little pruning is required, although any shaping and removing any damaged or unwanted branches is best done late Winter/early Spring and will also benefit from a light trim after flowering. Apply a good quality fertiliser early Spring to encourage fresh new growth in the coming season.
