Carex Oshimensis Everillo or ‘Japanese Sedge’ is a clump forming evergreen grass or sedge.   It’s fresh young lime-yellow foliage deepens to a darker golden yellow as the season progresses. Its compact and clump forming habit make it an ideal plant for use as ground cover when planted en masse, early Summer sees the appearance of upright, brown flower spikes contrasting well with the yellow foliage. An eye catching addition to any border or bank.

Looking After Your Carex Oshimensis Everillo

An easy to grow very low maintenance plant, preferring a fertile, moist but well drained area within a sunny or partially shaded area of the garden. During the Winter months generally tidy the grasses by combing through to remove any dead or damaged foliage, but do not cut back at this time. Cut back if required only during the growing season, when a feed of a good quality general purpose fertiliser will also help to encourage plenty of fresh healthy growth during the coming season.
