Baccharis Halimifolia Baccador or more commonly know as Bush Groundsel is a semi-evergreen  shrub of bushy, upright habit, with golden yellow, coarsely toothed foliage. August through to September sees the appearance of small white flowers. A very hardy large shrub, salt tolerant and often found used as part of coastal planting schemes.

Looking After Your Baccharis Halimifolia Baccador

Baccharis Baccador is generally a low maintenance shrub, and tolerant of most soils providing they are well drained, a semi-evergreen garden large shrub preferring a sunny or partially shaded area of the garden, ideal for coastal areas and can often be seen used as a windbreak. Any pruning required to shape or tidy the shrub is best done before the main growing season during March-April, when a good feed of a general purpose fertiliser is best applied.
