A surprisingly easy to grow evergreen garden shrub, which will thrive quite happily when grown in a container or the open ground within a shrub border or as a specimen plant, preferring a moist, acidic , humus rich or loamy soil which is kept well drained. Each year provide a good mulch of well rotted leafy garden compost, ideally during the Autumn, this will also help to protect the plants roots during the colder Winter months. Early Spring feed using a slow release ericaceous fertilizer to encourage fresh new growth.
