Ideal for ground cover at the edge of the border or close to ponds and streams.
Looking After Your Astilbe Chinensis Pumila
Generally pest and disease free, an easy to grow sun/shade and moisture loving flowering perennial is equally at home in the flower border or pond-side planting scheme, the flowers often left on the plant providing interest later in the season. Early Spring cut back flowers/foliage, this is also an ideal time to propagate by division or re-locate to another position in the garden, and apply a good quality general purpose fertiliser to promote strong healthy, fresh new growth.
