Achillea Millefolium Red Velvet, also known as Yarrow Red Velvet and a holder of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit is a vigorous mat forming perennial with divided leaves and leafy stems.  Clusters of flattened deep red flowers appear from May through to August.   Achilleas will attract a wide variety of beneficial insects, including bees and butterflies.

Looking After Your Achillea Red Velvet

Cutting back your Achillea Red Velvet after the first flowering will encourage a second flush in late summer/early autumn.  Plant in moist, well drained soil in a sunny position.  Achillea Red Velvet look stunning amongst a border.
